the only people I've seen him give money to since he's been in office are the rich (banks, insurance companies, car companies,etc)!!

@taledarkside FIRST, I am talking about cap n trade. second, no we should not. the internet itself doesn't leave a carbon footprint. the power plants that supply the energy required to power servers should be taxed based off the carbon they emit. you are bringing in a red herring to this.

@taledarkside china is the leading CO2 producing country. i won't argue that. BUT they have nearly 4 times as many people as we do. The Per Capita Emissions is the US is 19.18 and China's is 4.91. The problem with companies polluting is that the CO2 affects everyone. It doesn't just affect that company. That's why having companies that pollute pay a fee for the amount they pollute will help offset the environmental effects and probable health effects.

Cap and Trade is a great bill. You obviously don't understand the bill you fucking moron. We need to decrease our CO2 emissions. And you mention Obama giving money to banks. If we let AIG and the major banks (Citi, Bank of America) go under, we would've certainly gone into a depression. Think about it. You don't understand government or government spending. He is not "giving" money to the rich. That is what the House Republicans are doing you fuck. You're on the wrong side.
