I'm sorry subwaywrx - but with CO2 at considerably more than it has ever been in 650,000 years. AND temperature directly linked to CO2 levels. AND the 10 hottest years on record all occuring in the last 15 years. AND people dying in their thousands due to heatwaves. AND how much more do you need to know to see what is in fron of your face. OR is the truth so hard you feel compelled to believe the bribed scientists working at the disinformation coal face?

Nuclear fission might not produce the CO2 but it does produce radioactive waste and eventually you will run out of fuel just as we are doing with fossil fuels. Instead of nuclear, NZ could switch to a higher proportion of local (and renewable) energy sources (tidal, wind, solar, etc.) and then we wouldn't need to keep upgrading the electricity grid and could avoid running more and more pylons to Auckland.

Wind Power? Wind Power is one of the least efficient producers of electricity, also causing disruption to native birds flight patterns. NZ needs to seriously look at Nuclear Power, it is one of the most efficient and safest alternatives currently.
