This is my before and after of phase 1 of my fitness journey. I'm starting phase 2 tomorrow which will include losing more fat and also toning/building muscle. I'm giving myself until March to get down to 118-120lbs and to lose an additional 3 inches around my waist, stomach and hips each (while building muscle). I'm about 136lbs right now. (My scale is not working so I will have to wait a week to give exact numbers).

  • What exactly did u do? Of course work out, but did u have to change ur eating habits? If so what kinda thiings do you eat?

  • @ChicVanity Thanks so much! Yea, I'd definitely say I had to change my eating habits. I basically stopped eating everything except fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts and lean protein like fish. My diet now consists of whole/unprocessed foods - particularly green leafy vegetables, mostly salmon and tilapia, some starchy vegetables, beans, and nuts. Of course I've done some cheating over the holidays, but for the most part I've been pretty good about sticking to it. I also work out at the gym daily.

  • GIRLLLLLL you are a TRUE INSPIRATION!!! Look at you, you look soooo great! soooo, what did you do in particular? Did you follow a particular diet or workout plan? DETAILS!!! Keep it up! This is the motivation I need!

  • @ugomma Thank you so much! I did not necessarily follow a specific diet plan. Initially I started off eating a diet of ONLY fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts - basically anything that grows. I did that for about 2 weeks, and then I added fish to my diet to increase protein intake. That's pretty much how I've been eating for the past few months - with exceptions every now and then. I also work out pretty much every day. I have a gym membership so I do anything from zumba, to kickboxing, & bodypump

  • @ugomma Oh, and I forgot to mention that I also do workout DVDs whenever I miss one of my gym classes. I have Hip hop abs (just completed level 1 and 2), brazil butt lift, tae bo to name a few. Right now I'm finishing up a month of the brazil butt lift by beach body.
