Ichiro Suzuki's Impact; New York Yankees Bolster Outfield

Amy K. Nelson talks with Steven Goldman from Pinstripe Alley about the recent trade of Ichiro Suzuki to the New York Yankees. After playing from 2001 - 2012 with the Seattle Mariners, Suzuki, now 38, will join the first place team in the MLB. He will try to help bolster a thin outfield roster.

This is a low risk, high reward trade for the Yanks. If he doesn't pan out, they didn't give away much and can roll along with little impact to the bottom line. If he gets hot or is somehow rejuvenated by being in a winning situation, the Yanks could have stolen one of the best hitters in the past 25 years for the stretch run.

I would have thought Ichiro would be a better fit in Right bc of his arm strength, but I guess the deal was contingent upon Ichiro willing playing left. We'll see.

Actually Ichiro requested to be traded to a team that's a postseason regular and since joining the yankees Ichiro is as hot as he used to be.
