In March of 2007, a group of engineering students from MSOE joined with the Engineers Without Boarders group to design and create a water distribution system for a small village by the name of La Providencia Nueva in Guatemala. The water distribution system consisted of tapping off a gravity fed tank and feeding the water to a pump (powered by a waterwheel), in which crossed over a river, up the side of an incative volcano and up to a storage tank where it is then distributed to the villagers houses. The anchors were made for the support of the pipe throughout the whole project. For more information, contact Doug Stahl at stahl@msoe.edu
