I'm so used to living in a hot climate i actually yearn for rainy weather.

I think the worst thing about returning back to Manchester is the weather. Just as you break through the cloud on finals the rain spatters on the window. It doesnt rain everyday in M'cr but this is the start of holiday blues for me!
On the other hand, departing manchesters shit weather and landing in some hot climate where the apron tarmac glows is a good feeling.
Anybody seen the AN 225 at Manchester? Check it out youtube

I pilot the B777-200ER for BA.
I tend to use flaps 15 for any flight depending mainly on weather conditions!
the part when someone mentioned that the ailerons go down with the flaps is false as this only tends to occur with aircraft like the MD11, A330 etc.

Short haul flaps 5
Long haul flaps 15

Some typically beautiful Manchester sky, there.
What is the standard flap config for a 767 takeoff?
