Jimi Hendrix Memorial - Renton, Wa. (part 1)

This video was taken as I drove up to (and around) the Jimi Hendrix Memorial at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton, Washington. (June 27, 2007) His parents and other relatives are also buried there.

The original marker is on the new memorial but what I'd like to know is if they exhumed him and moved him to the new site as well. Any comments?

Jimi was moved to the new memorial. It was done in the wee hours of the morning...on his birthday a few years ago.

The granite slabs are decorated with beautiful etchings of the artist. I don't know how to upload several single pics, however. Also, his mama was there, Granny too, I think. July 2009 visit

I visited the memorial in August 2007 during a visit to the Seattle area. I understand it was not yet fully complete. Anything been added since this time?

During a previous visit I saw the original grave of JH and family members before the memorial was built. This last time I was unable to find the original grave sites where I was told his mother is still buried as it had not been moved to the memorial along with the others.

You were there a month or so after me. I have not been there since, but I plan to go back whenever in Seattle.

Yeah, I could not find the original markers either. I even had a map.

It is my dream to visit Jimi's memorial and got to Bethel, NY and visit the site of Woodstock!
