The man made diamonds are pretty cheap but can fool almost anyone as it is kind of the same but with some missing Chararistics, the only way you can see the big difirecnce is when it's put under a laser/scope and you are a professional in this field.

There is a biiiig difference between natural and man made diamonds and the scientist/jewl inspector can tell easily if it is man made and grown, or from deep within the earths volcanos

He may feel special, but American scientists can already grow diamonds large enough microprocessors and even some proper jewelry sized gems, though "grown" diamonds are of course considered less valuable solely because they weren't natural from the Earth.

I really dont get why everyone is saying that acetylene is expensive. It's rather cheap where my dad buy's his for his business. of course he get's a 50% discount. I'm assuming that anyone that did this professionally would also have a deep discount though.
