The British have a lot to answer for in not respecting the terms of the mandate. It wasn't a so-called Balfour Declaration - it was the basis of the British Mandate of Palestine.

There is a two-state solution - Israel/Jordan. Jordan was created under a technicality of the Mandate, and so absolved the issue of the arab muslims.
