  • I have my system running and this NB seems to get very hot to the touch... is this normal?

    The Led stays in green BUT one time it was in RED flashing

    and VERY hot to the touch

    I have the exact same MOBO

    i7 920

    Corsair h50

    stock fans from Cosmos RC-1000

    I did change one exhaust fan tonight seems to be much better getting hot air out

  • @HillaryHitler the Led light should be

    off= Perfect

    Green= ok

    Yellow= warning

    Red =bad

  • I have this board and have not installed/built it yet

    Is there some sort of fan for the North Bridge? Let me know please

    Thanks

  • @HillaryHitler No NB fan its just a very nice heatplate

  • I have a question, when you overclock yours through the bios and then save the settings, does it shut off and come back on? Mine does and I am wondering if thats normal?

    OS = Windows Ultimate 64 bit

    any advise would be a great help

    Dan

  • No air slow? lol, but nice parts! great vid!

  • is it compatible with 4gb of dominator gt ?

  • overclocking on a stock fan?

  • its normal for the ex58 northbridge to run between 40-50c+,dont forget if your using dynamic energy saver you can enable all the mb phase led's which light up according to cpu and ram loading,dont use easytune to overclock with it will freeze up your system,always do it in the bios and use coretemp or realtemp to take temps from the cores not the heatsink as they will be 5-10c hotter than what easytune tells you

  • Ever since I went with a PUSH/PULL with the Corsair H50 it has never gotten hot again
