Here's a detailed look at some of the main differences between the French Fnac store exclusive bluray briefcase edition of Inception and the briefcase version available in the UK. I decided to focus mainly on the briefcases themselves, the outer plastic box and the spinner top totems included.

For a detailed review of each of these release, please see my separate reviews...

  • what region is the france blu ray?

  • @TTHEBLACKR0CK France generally has region B for blurays but this set is region free :)

  • I take it you liked inception?

  • @tokillacatchersrye LOL. Nah I was a bit so and so, but I think it will grow on me :P

  • The engraved title on the bottom of the UK spinner makes that one side lose weight which therefore causes it to spin a greater loop. For a perfect spin there has to be equal weight on all sides

  • @CrimsonOmenPictures Both of the tops have engraved letters so I'm quite sure this is not the reason.

  • @discjunkietv cool thanks

  • Thank you for this interesting comparison - it seems like the French spinning top is way better than the UK one because it looks more expensive and it spins perfectly (maybe the UK top is made of aluminium and the French one is made of steel.)

  • As crappy as the uk set is, I still am pretty happy I got mine.

  • My French case has an unchromed top :|

  • Have to warn people when I got my UK one out of the box it was a real struggle to get the little flat open and I had to be quite forceful with it and realised I had ripped the plastic a little bit. The UK one just is so rubbish, really stupidly made in short. Lucky Oscar getting the right one.
