  • Melodic death metal is great but what about Opeth? This really help understand death because I am new to this genre.

  • @TheToxicity21 Opeth is good stuff. I like them alot, but they are pretty eclectic and I was really looking for bands that (in my opinion) epitomize a sub-genre of death metal.

  • great job dude!

  • @aree000 thank you! I'm glad so many people enjoyed it.

  • Sacred is the gift that they have without knowing

Serenity is knowing it's safe from destruction of time

Amen to that, really cool that you decided to end with that quote\m/ Death is my favourite band beyond all time and secret serenity is one of my absolutte fav songs from symbolic. Damn good work on this project, some people need to be taught what good music is;D

  • @blessedhellride1 Thank you for that :)

  • Where's Deicide "Legion"????

  • The only thing you did wrong with this documentary was talking about the Black vs Death thing. It never existed. It was just media hype. Yeah, maybe there were a few bands who had beef with each other, but the "rivalry" was completely imagined, blown out of proportion, and only believed by gullible people. It's exactly the same case as the East Coast/West Coast "rivalry" in the rap scene.

  • Excellent Documentary, this is why I love youtube

  • @mquirk00 Don't watch it, stupid.

  • beef jerky

  • Tidy and informative documentary :) Maybe should have mentioned the iconic Pleasures of the flesh-record among the influences to the genre, but all in all this is very good work :)

  • Winds Of Plague is a terrible example of the non-melodic and simplistic nature of almost all deathcore. that sample stood out as one of the best, and people that would look up deathcore based on that will be very disappointed.

i wouldn't call them deathcore because of that. they don't sound much like virtually any other deathcore band. they in actuality are more like technical melodic death much of the time, despite their appearance (should be irrelevant) and vocal sound.

  • @TheJunkass while i agree overall, its not so obvious with their simplistic albums like KILL and VILE

  • Cannibal Corpse is obviously a technical death metal band. The Bleeding is a great example and probably the best death metal album ever!

  • i miss the old in flames :( but this is a sweet documentary regardless
