Driven both, and owned an EP3 a few years back. The Focus is a better car, and it has more torque and a wider power band, but I think the Civic is more fun. In a drag race there is nothing between them, the Ford is more powerful but also heavier by around 100kgs. Top end the ST would have the advantage. Civic has mrie nimble handling and a more fun revvy nature. Both ar good in different ways :)

@Twilight37 Not true, just because VTEC comes in earlier this would do nothing for power, the FN2 is still a heavier car with no bump in BHP. It also handles like a piece of shit too, i had one to test for 24hours and it gave me NO confidence in corners, i settled in the end for an imported EK9 type-r, A real drivers car not some mid-life crisis screaming piece of crap.

Just part-xd my Type R for the ST. In a straight line the ST would win easy. On a track Type R would eat it.

Bluefin map on mine now and I doubt a Hondata Civic would beat it without forced induction.

ford has wicked handling due to mazda 3 chassis. also has volvo engine and electronics from japan. fuel is from the middle east and the brand is american.
