97 years old ain't a bad run. Hope you enjoyed your time here, Mr. Perkins. That's what matters most.

Every year.....we wouldn't miss it for the world. Thanks for your eternal boogie woogie, Pinetop.

@bluesync.... Dad had all 25 years of hearing Pinetop... He was usually on the stage somewhere because he was the stage manager. Your video caught Dad having a good time, as always. The 26th festival will be hard for the Biscuit family and the stage crew. We have never worked a festival without Dad or Pinetop playing... Thanks again for the video! :)

just a few months shy of 98 when he passed, and still had a spark in him till the last couple of days...then he said "I'm tired, time for the show to end." passed the next morning...

Yeah, we know about the PA Blues Fest and we're so damn happy about it too! Since we've been going to PBF since it's inception and had heard rumors in the last couple of years of it demise and that when it finally came to pass we were sad. We're happy to start a new tradition on Blue Mountain! See ya there!

the world lost a legend.. i saw him at the 2008 Chicago Blues Fest. Hell of a performer even in his late years.

RIP Pinetop....I saw Pinetop in Memphis in May 2010 at the Rum Boogie cafe on Beale Street...it was a memorable experience...
I enjoyed this video so much...Not just because I got to watch Pinetop, but also because I got to see my Dad in the background having a great time with his brother, my Uncle Tommy. My Dad passed away in January 2011 and ran the KBBF stage for 25 years. He also was a founding member of Sonny Boy Blues Society, which organizes the music for the festival. Both Pinetop and my Dad Ray will be missed greatly. Thanks for posting video. It brought tears to my eyes being able to see my dad laugh again.

@lakers1218 Sorry about Dad, I'm glad that 'those guys in my shot' wound up bringing some unintended happiness! And not bad to have dad immortalized on stage with Pinetop -- who I'd imagine he had been on stage with for many of those 25 years but maybe never quite got captured in the same frame during a performance!

RIP! Honored to have seen him once again and take the last pictures I'll ever have of him on July 28, 2010 at the Pocono Blues Festival!

@1NeoCat96
Yeah, that my last time hangin' with him also. I assume you know about the 'new' Pennsylvania Blues Festival at Blue Mountain starting this year, which is replacing Pocono?
