this video was made when my son was born. he had to be on the ECMO machine because he was barely alive. the power of love and god healed him to be the little boy he is today.
So great to hear about the recovery that Billy made!! I was born in 1987, and I was put on ECMO due to my lungs not being fully developed, and I am 24 now in the military. I am so thankful that I am alive today, and it is great to hear that it still helps out newborn even today! Thank you for sharing!
Wow I'm so glad they've medical advances, I remember my mom telling me that when I was in the NICU the baby next to me and myself were struggling even with our ventilators;I just barely pulled through, the little boy next to me did not. I think an ecmo is what is saving other babies just like him today.
My daughter was due June 4, 1991, but she wasn't born until June 22, 1991...2 1/2 weeks late. It took me 2 1/2 days to give birth to her. She never dropped so they ripped her out of me with suction. She had maconium aspiration (she pooped in the amniotic sac and inhaled it). She was rushed to the nursery and was on between 90 & 100% oxygen. She was transported to Oakland Childrens hospital 12 hours after she was born. The excessive amounts of oxygen blew holes in her lungs. She was put on ECMO
I just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on 5/14/11 he was full term and 6 pounds. He was having difficulties breathing so he was flown out to UMC in Tucson. The ventilators weren't helping him. He was stable but not improving. A few hours ago they placed him on Ecmo. I'm hoping and praying he will make it threw this. Thank you so much for this video. It has gave me hope for my little man. I'm glad to see yours made it and is doing good!
awww he is soo cute my daughter had to go on ecmo for persistent hypertension they don't no what caused it but ecmo was her last chance she is 2 and a half now but doing great she also suffered a stroke but has finished her physio and you wouldn't think anything had happened...glad everything worked out for you and your little angel.
My baby born last saturday and he has Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension of th Newborn (PPHN), he is with oscillatory ventilator, ECMO will be the last chance if he wont get better. We are very worried and concern. This video is very helpful and bring us hope. Thanks a lot. Greatings to Billy.
Your little fellow is beautiful, and I'm glad he made it through, but his survival is a testament to modern intensive care, and has nothing to do with the supernatural.
Wow, ECMO looks so darn scary! Our little one was being considered for ecmo, but thankfully pulled through on other forms of life support instead. He was transferred to a bigger hospital for respiratory failure as well.
