@hdtwoodsman Science? where does the money for scientific research come from?
-
@solvecoagule LOL very true.
-
Kuffarkid- It is science that has advanced the world, not capitalism. I have no problem w/ capitalism, but society needs to ensure proper living conditions for all.

You might want to re-read your earlier comment. "Ever" includes 20K years ago.
-
@hdtwoodsman And you base that belief on what?
-
@solvecoagule yeah that makes perfect sense to compare today to 20k years ago. Your so wise.

Who gets to evaluate what a high standard of living is? I suspect nobody asked the hunter-gatherer from an earlier era who worked about six hours a week.

Capitalism compared to what? In capitalist countries the standard of living is the highest man has ever achieved.
I beleive capitalism can ork for the middle class too but the problem is they are always people who want to turn it into corporatism. Democratic Socialism might be better because it can benefit the middle class with stuff like universal health care.

it is funny to me that not many people have figured out that our economic system is man made. We can make it any way we want it, we just let the wealthy people run things so it works better for them. We have the power if we choose to use it, but we need to realize it first
