  • hey bro. nice lift but you really shouldn do that by yourself and you should try getting into the habit of grabbing that bar with your thumbs too. i have seen enough people have the bar slip off there palms during a heavy lift. im not gonna lie, i do it to sometimes while doing close grips but never on heavy chest days

    I have been benching this way (false-grip) for 20 years and never had a problem, so I can't see myself changing anything...but thanks for the warning.

    Also, there are spot racks there, so a spotter isn't needed.

  • nice job man i weight 190 and bench just as that much i plan on goin up to 200 pounds an my goal is to bench 405....btw how many time a week do you train on chest?...i only train once a week and train on other body parts

    I train chest twice a week right now...I do a heavier day early in the week and a speed bench day later in the week. Keep my updated on your progress to 4 plates...I could use some competitition (I'll race you there!).
