I think Israel has had act of contrition after act of contrition. Why don't they vacate the Temple Mount and stop claiming Jewish holy sites - Rachel's tomb, Joseph's Tomb, Jushua's Tomb, Samuel the Profits tomb, the Tomb of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as Holy Muslim sites. The sad thing is the secular Israeli government gives these sites to them to make Peace.
