Honolulu Bad Bus Driver

This is one of Honolulu's bad bus drivers. He was driving the townbound "E" bus (#129) on 6/2/2009. I was heading towards his bus at Waipahu Transit Center at about 7:25am. His bus was parked and obviously he saw me approaching towards him. Barely 5ft from the door, the driver looking at me, did not open the door and drove off! I knew he saw me, so did the other many people at the bus stop. But this is typical of Honolulu's bad bus driver attitude. They think it's a joke by leaving riders outside their door and taking off like they never saw them. Too many drivers are doing this and they never get caught and/or the bus company are not taking strict measures to reprimand bad drivers like this one. It is a complete shame that Honolulu bus drivers are behaving badly. And we will not hesitate to expose more bad drivers with bad attitudes and with bad clarity of their job description.

*Note: we trailed the bus driver from Waipahu to Waikiki. Lucky for us he was still there and we filmed this in Waikiki moments before he was taking off for the westbound route.

It's almost a month now and I've yet to receive a reply from TheBus about my complaint, which I'd submitted in writing a day after this incident. Well, it's just to show that the company (TheBus) is in complete denial of their bad drivers and lack of customer service. It is clear that the company is incompetent as they ignore all customer feedbacks. What a shame!

But now u can turn that driver in by carrying a camera and post in you tube. I did send my formal complaint about this bus driver to the company and attached the you tube link so that they know who the driver was and what violation he had done. So far, no formal reply from The Bus. I encourage more people to do the same and expose such bad drivers here in Honolulu. If the company is not going to take any action, then we the passengers will expose these drivers publicly here on You Tube. Mahalo.

What are you talking about? He sat there and waited. There is even some dude walking past you to get on the bus. If you would have walked up to the bus you could have gotten on. You just stood there about 10 feet away from the bus. If you made eye contact with the guy and still didn't make a movement toward the bus then he isn't going to open the door. you have no argument.

I'm a bus driver in Albuquerque New Mexico and by the looks of the video YOU did NOT approach the bus like you wanted to get on in the first place. When the bus driver closed the door the first time, a man then approached the front door and the driver opened the door. YOU on the other hand stood there like a complete dumby thinking the bus driver will come out of his seat and walk you to the bus... STOP COMPLAINING AND JUST BE AT THE BUS STOP ON TIME, I SEE THIS WAY TOO MUCH...

I cant see anything wrong with the way the driver handled....Im a bus driver and If I see someone with a VDO cam filming me and not getting on the bus then I would have closed the doors and left aswell....Looks to me you are the type of person who enjoys causing trouble for other people...get a life.
