Guinea pig jumping off a chair

This is Whitie, our star. Probably You know him already from some of my previously posted clips.
Jealousy about food causes him to do crazy things: jumping from the chair down into the cage and then pushing the other piggie (Puma, the black one) away from the feeding dish.
In his recklessness he follows our example, since both my son and myself also like to jump from high places (have a look at the other stuff posted on my channel)

Mine do the same thing. I put a plastic tub filled with bedding next to my bed. Whenever they feel like playing, they climb out of the tub and onto my bed. Then when they are tired and want to eat, they go back to the tub.

That is sooo cute. You really have learned how to live with guinea pigs.

Horrible, Guinea Pig hip bones are not made for that. I had one who had to get an x-ray taken before an operation and found her leg was dislocated. Thinking back I could remember the day it must of happen, she jumped out of a basket on to a stack of towels and squeaked. She went 3 years hiding the pain she felt due to she instinct to hide it as not to fall prey.

The sound of the hit shows there was little litter to pad the fall.

Hey you guys.....their legs are too small and delicate fro that kind of thing!! What if they break a leg or become paralyzed? The poor creature will be screaming and it is undeserved. Please hang on to them when placing them down somewhere. Just because they can jump doesn't necessarily mean they should.
