Long Beach Police officers shoot & kill suspect on live TV

After a high speed pursuit traveling east on Anaheim through Long Beach, auto theft suspect pulls into McDonald's parking lot (3302 E Anaheim St, Long Beach, CA) on Anaheim Street & Newport Avenue near Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) in Long Beach. As he attempts to flee, police officers shoot the suspect who brandishes a semi-automatic weapon. As suspect falls to the concrete and looses his gun, he attempts to pull out another object from his front pocket as Long Beach Police deliver the fatal shots. The suspect was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Chase began on 21st & Olive Avenue in the City of Long Beach but the chase crossed jurisdictions into Carson, Torrance, San Pedro (Los Angeles), and Wilmington (Los Angeles).

@jaimieheildijames ok then but in Britain today if a suspect has a gun and poses a real threat (eg running towards a shop or resteraunt) then they can open fire to save lives not just of the police but of public citizens. He doesn't need to shoot to pose a threat
