You may be losing fat but your blood sugars could be staying too high which is preventing you from losing from the mid section. You can buy a glucometer (or borrow one) and test your blood sugar 50-60 minutes after each meal. If it is above 110 you can't burn fat. You can also test fasting which is first thing in the am before food. That number should be between 80 and 90. It is important to journals while you are testing your numbers so you know which meals are best for you. Good luck!
