Iowa late muzzleloader deer hunting

Deer hunting in early January for what turned out to be all antlerless deer hunt. It was kind of a strange week going from -0F to 45F in 3 days if i remember correctly. We only saw little bucks while hunting but as is was we saw an absolute monster crossing the ice on the pond while we were eating lunch at 1pm during the week. Over 400 yards away. But that was the only time we or the owner of the land had ever seen him.

Most anti-hunting, PETA types tend to think of themselves as liberated and educated people. I wonder if they realize that According to the theory of evolution, eating meat was the main contributor into allowing human ancestors to stand upright and enlarge our cranium. Generations of protein and/or meat eating habits makes the brain cavity larger. There's a reason why most carnivorous animals are typically the most intelligent animals on the planet. Oh well....there's no arguing with them.

iowa 1st season starts tomorrow 12-5-09, it sucks beacuse i have to miss out, hopefully i can go 2nd, nice video.. good way to start off "what do we got asshole" ... good job
