This one is kind of long and really not funny. Sorry about that.

And here's the article I mentioned: http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2003/03/caring-for-your-introvert...

  • Also, I believe I already invited you to my birthday in a few weeks. I don't want anyone who isn't beautiful at my birthday, so now you know that it's not just from this video.

  • @purekatherine Keep me posted (specific time, location, that sort of thing). I'll totally go. And yes, I want to send shoes to you to be glittered, too.

  • i wish i had junk in the trunk. :( i am afraid i am going to inherit my mother's bottom....her back goes straight into her legs. (also, every time i have come across that article, i re-read it because it really speaks to me...perhaps in the same way it did to you.)

  • @kimmy213 I would happily donate some of my junk trunk to you...if I knew how. :)

  • And finally...as someone who HAS stared at you over and over again (via editing various scenes/videos/etc with you, not creepy), i can assure you that you are amazingly beautiful. And I know this video is not a compliment-fishing technique, and this is not intended as a reassuring comment either. It's simply a statement of fact. Trust me. There have been plenty of faces in videos I've edited where I really did NOT like having to look at them.

Even with dyed jet black hair, Kitty was pretty :)

  • @mugsy1274 And the Dorothy Parker in me wants to know who you didn't like having to stare at in the editing room. ;)

  • This is undoubtedly one of my most favorites of VEDA so far - you are so raw and real and vulnerable, and I couldn't be more inspired by you. You are amazing!

Also, I can completely relate to the being very aware of where I am in the universe, while no one else does so people unknowingly bump into me. Such a hassel ;)

Also, also - I read The Introvert Advantage, and I had the same life-changing realizations by the book. It's amazing.

  • I'm totally with you on all of this. Very courageous of you to share it, but I think much the same way in terms of introversion.

  • 1) This is super-courageous and makes me extra-proud to know you (to the extent that I do).

    2) That description of introversion and your take on it are fascinatingly different from what I've heard before. I often think I would be better as a floating eye, because everything around me is interesting and beautiful and I want to experience that without distracting it with my presence.

    3) I concur with mugsy1274 & others re: your pleasing appearance, having also spent many hours editing footage.

  • This is so beautifully honest. I think you're amazing and I so admire how eloquently you addressed this topic. I'm sending you a great big virtual hug :)

  • I'm such a weird 'extrovert.' People around people gives me energy. But, I am kind of shy and awkward...I don't think situations are made better with me. But, I need people around to feel my best a lot of the time.

  • If today's prompt tells us anything- it's that we all have imperfections and none of us really like it. What's great about you is that you are truly in tune with yourself more than others can say.

  • I totally teared up watching this. Not because I feel bad that you feel this way, but because I know so little of you and I'm so incredibly proud/amazed that you could be so open an honest with the tone that you deliver this message in.

I have seen several minutes of your face this week, and I too can confirm the beauty in the way that those eyes and that hair come together with a nose I'm envious of and everything else on your face. Even those ears. I like your ears.
