TV9 Rare Footage : Bangarappa's Last Days Inside ICU At Malya Hospital......!
The former chief minister of Karnataka and an Indian politician Sarekoppa Bangarappa passed away early today morning. He breathed his last early morning of Dec 26 at around 12.40 am.
He was hospitalized for renal complications and was admitted at the Mallya hospital due to kidney failure. He was 79.
He represented the Shimoga constituency in the 14th Lok Sabha. He had founded the Karnataka Vikas party and Karnataka Congress party. For a brief while he was in the BJP and won the Lok Sabha seat on its ticket. He resigned from the party and joined Mulayam Singh Yadav's Samajwadi Party. Recently, he had joined Janata Dal (S) led by former prime minister H D Deve Gowda.
He was born on 26 October 1932 in Kubatur village of Shimoga district in Karnataka. His father was the late Shri Kallappa and his mother, Kallamma. He was married on 1 January 1958 to Shakuntala. He has two sons, Kumar Bangarappa and Madhu Bangarappa. He has a bachelor's degree in arts and law and also has a diploma in social science.

10.3.2005 Left BJP to join the Samajwadi Party and resigned from Lok Sabha.
02.6.2005 Re-elected to Lok Sabha in a bye-election from Samajawadi party
12.2.2009 Left Samajwadi Party to join the Congress and resigned from Lok Sabha.
May 2009 lost in 2009 General Elections of Lok Sabha against BS Raghavendra, the son of current Karnataka Chief Minister, B. S. Yediyurappa.
