Actually, they seem almost like a metaphor for their home state Montana. Montana is a great place to be, very cool, the nature is wonderful, etc. But, it's not going to present itself to you in a tourist package, you have to pretty much just decide to go there. Same thing with SKWM, there's not a lot to say to make you listen to them, but most people enjoy them when and if they actually listen.
Well, this guy at least seems articulate, but he gets one thing wrong. The reason SKWM never sold records, I feel, is largely because they had no image to market or anything to hype. Nothing to do with their sound. I mean, take a band like DIno Jr (who I love.) You have the mute-savant guitar hero, the chickless loser who write gorgeous pop and the ex-hardcore-kid drummer. With SKWM, it was just dudes writing great songs, which is fine with me, but I understand why that's hard to write about
