Thank you so much for posting this. You have inspired me and as a result, I have began the process of taking down my locks of about 12 years. I started a video series too. Thank you sooo much!

What happens if you see a considerable amount of breakage...if the hair breaks off as you loosen it?
Thank you for the video.

lol i like your personality...(i'm gonna try that 'kickn a spark off my daughters behind' thing when she gets out of line lol) anyway, it looks like you have a similar grade of hair than mine, i was natural more than 10 years before i decided to lock so i know it's gorgeous...awesome way to re-lock!

oh my goodness! thanks for this! i have a dragon forming and i was thinking about cutting it in half now i know i can fix it! Bless!!
can you still take out your dreads if they were professionally done and a beauty shop?

@me1195 yes, they are really no different from any other locs, just more manicured looking if you got them done more often. This method works for me on both palmrolled and latchhooked locs.

@shekinahalive I have heard of some people beginning theirs in that manner without issues. I didn't do that personally but I'm sure it can work as long as you take them off after awhile and let your hair hold naturally.
