It was tamer than Hostel. Should not be on any ones eXtreme cinema list.

Same history of martyrs; guns, explosions.. i really didn't like this film.

The Europeans and Japanese sure know how to make solid horror films including gore flicks like Ichi The Killer which was the last decade's sickest movie.

Well this came out in post 9/11 times and a reflection of the war from the last decade including Guantamo Bay to 9/11 terrorism, you gotta reflect real life on film sometimes to get a reaction. Kind of like how in the 70's, shockers like Last House on The Left, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Wizard of Gore, Dawn of the Dead etc. were inspired by the images and footage of Vietnam including from the watergate scandal.
