Police Chief Bill Blair cites that gun related violence in the city has been going up from 2007 - 2010. The Mayor wants to put more police on the street and the Chief wants more money but has this more policing strategy worked? Latoya Rodney a former 'gang leader' in the notorious Jane & Finch neighbourhood successfully broke out of this cycle and she speaks from a deep, personal perspective on how to 'put the guns down'.

  • see toronto should look at my citys history - chicago. the past 10 years, chicago has been well known for black on black killings, spanish vs spanish, black vs spanish, everybody vs everybody, everybody every gang, is ABK EBK. So if you look at how our mayor's decision, of pumping money into rich and middle class area, ignoring the ghettos and areas that are drugs n gangs are what the young kids are facing. Toronto its on its way to making the same mistakes and must change now for better future

  • She's right, the police are the most feared gang out there.
