The last boss of this challenge awaits. I took him on straight after Barubary, so I had no way to get some more supplys of MoonDrops or WiseBLs, which I both run low on during the fight.
Anyway, DeathEvn cannot do much in the beginning. His attack can take down one character, but not even always. His Death spell is single target as well, and Ryu is immune due to wearing the LifeBR, which is a hidden treasure found in Barubarys room. His other skills are a HP + AP Drain, which is percent based damage and cannot kill us either, and a status remover (as in, Power Down or Def Up).
At below 4000 HP (of a whopping 10000 total) he gains BoneLzr skill (which he didn't use a single time for me). This skill is deadly to all but Rand - who cannot be killed by it if at full HP. Knowing this, Rand simply uses a MoonDrop each and every turn after DeathEvn gains BoneLzr.
On my spare turns (yes, I got some of those..) I use power down with Nina and Spar. It got about the same chance to work as on Barubary, and this time it actually did. However, his AI ain't shabby enough to attack me under this condition, so he used Gods Power, which removes his power down and my def. up. Luckily I used a Biscuit that turn so I got latter back.
Knowing his skills, simply G.Dragon away, using Biscuits and LifePIs before 4000 HP and MoonDrops after. More or less same as barubary after that point.
Whole video is sped up 1.2x to fit in YouTubes 11 minute limit, but also making it more fun to watch :)
I used Rand, Katt and Jean (because he is slow) for this fight. :) I forgot about the AP draining move and brought only about a dozen WiseBL with me and things got a bit of control when he started spamming the spell.
Status effects aren't very useless in this battle, I think, though you can use them to cause the AI to do something else besides damaging you.
