  • Basically, it means refurbishing the bottom - usually just cleaning/power washing, sanding and painting the bottom.

  • @N2thedrink - not at all. he has done more for liveaboards in this country than almost any other person, working with young liveaboards and helping them be successful, and single-handedly taking on attempts to quash the lifestyle and tag it with all of the environmental problems faced (including - yes, oil). he is a person who has earned great respect in my book.

  • whats a "bottom job"? i live in hawaii, and wanted to liveaboard, but im a total rookie. so its all saltwater here...

  • isnt the best thing to do for living aboard would be to find a spot where you can leave the boat in the water all year long, and where it would only cost say 500 a year lol, in a perfect world,
