@Chuck2k6 he definitely isn't coming right over the top and his "crab" step looks horrible. but he does understand the basics of good outfielding.

This is a good video for a beginner, but the crow hop is for outfielders. It's a technique used to throw the ball farther in from the outfield. Which is more advanced than it sounds. There are certain steps u must take.

He's actually throwing correctly. He's going straight over the top. He's obviously holding back with his throw 'cause his partner is obviously not 200 feet away. If you imagine him not holding back and trying to throw the ball a distance, you'll see his form isn't as bad as you think it is.
