I'm "shure" you can find a use for both of these in different situations. The treble I'm hearing from the OM2 is nice but the sibilance that comes with it is troublesome.

don't mistake a peak in the highs for clarity. SM58 is the world standard and you aren't going to change that.

You guys are all getting so butthurt but GEARWIRE. It's not the most reliable way of comparing mics, but you're all to stupid to know that. Both are excellent mics of equal quality but different frequency charts

What i mean, it's realy not a offense, but i went to the shop after this vid and there is a simple conclusion.

It's all in the voice. If your voic is dark from itself, realy, the shure is fine for you, i reccomend the beta series, but who am i.. The audix is for the people with a thick sound, so don't start crying, go to the store listen for urself, the guy in the vid... well... tries to make a point... JUST LISTEN! Audix is a keeper! Shure stays..

WOW audix really let this mic down! The Audix sounds worse than my cheap nady mics! That pre EQ shit is terrible. YOUR MICS SHOULD BE LIKE STUDIO MONITORS FOR MORE CONTROL NO PRE EQ HOW STUPID IS AUDIX?????
