  • Its Weed

  • Duuuude! lol

  • your friend cracks me up. i don't think the shrine could make me ok w/ gun control.

that really seems like a nice place. this vid came up related to mine. kind of goes w/ what we were talking about bringing them together. kewl vid.

  • Thanks - yeah, I guess it all does really tie in.

That's why I like this shrine. It's just THERE to be experienced any which way that works for the individual visitor. Even the one time I took a guided tour, there was no preaching of any kind. It was just a stroll through the grounds and a history lesson on how the place came to be.

  • That looks like a very pretty area.

  • The video would have been about three times as long if I'd shown everything. So I may just have to go back and record some more.

    :-)

  • Maybe you can take me here after I take you to lunch... some day. Favorite LA spot? I think mine, aside from anywhere with friends, or on any beach, would be in front of one of Monet's studies of light in the Getty. I could stay there all day. Pleas, please, please don't say LACMA!

  • there is a self realisation centre in somerset in the uk, it is so spiritually charged that people feel a deep sense of peace just walking through the gardens.

love light and peace to all

  • aww. ^_^

    that made me happy.

    you make me happy. ^_^

thanks for taking me somewhere I hope to go to later in life. hopefully, we can meet up and go to it together! ;-)

    Love ya!

    Peter

  • that sounds fun, especially where you have studied religions anyway.

  • Re: the ashes and not connecting with them..but still finding them 'symbolic' kind-of-thing in a positive way... I guess I feel the same way when I go to a cemetery. Both my parents are gone now..and I know that they're not actually there in those places of stone and granite..and artificial flowers and recycled coffee jars with ripped-labels, filled with water and someone's front garden cuttings. I don't go often anymore. But I still go.

Wild stab: Could the scent have been lemon verbena?

  • certainly did seem like a peaceful place
