I understand that and like you just said "show us how." It's easy for an individual to talk into the camera and explain how generous they are but when we see an individual focus on the thing that makes them more generous then most we get a better glimpse into the persons life. As the prime rule of filmmaking says "show don't tell."

Hi Mahoney, talking about the "Why" was part of the contest. It's not because the other generous folks are being not modest. The contest was "show us how, and show us the deep down why".

I really like that the principal doesn't talk about why she is so generous. In some of the other videos the individual try to tell the audience how they are generous. Instead she focuses on the school and we get to see how she is so generous.
