~Demi's POV~
"WHAT?!" I shouted. "Demetria, sit down!" My father spat back at me, but I didn't listen. "But Dad, that school is filled with bloodsuckers!" I yelled in response, throwing my hands in the air. My dad sighed, "I know, and I don't want you going there. But we have no choice. The school here on the reservation is overpopulated. You have to go to Forks High School!" I started shaking with anger. Jacob grabbed onto my shoulder, "Demi, calm down. Don't do anything you'll regret." He was right. I would never want to hurt my dad. I sat down and calmed down. My dad wheeled over to me and placed his hand on my shoulder, Its going to be okay. I nodded and looked down. Maybe it is better.

-A few days later. The 1st day of school-

Jacob found it one day and he knew I always wanted one, so he fixed it up for me and gave it to me on my 17th birthday. My 17th birthday just passed on August 20th. I'm a senior this year. Damn, I was so excited about being at the top at my school on the reservation! Now, I got to rebuild my reputation. I turned off the gas and got off, kicking up the kick-stand. I unzipped my leather jacket as I was sweating hot. I wrapped my arm around my helmet and strut inside, my hair bouncing as I walked. Finding my locker, I placed all my stuff inside and went to my 1st period class, English.

When I came in, everyone just stopped and stared at me. Well, this is awkward. I quickly sat down in the nearest empty seat, not caring what I was doing right now. Suddenly, everybody started whispering stuff like "Who's the new babe?" and "I'd so tap that!" This was embarrassing and mortifying. I slumped down in my chair. But then, a strange aroma filled my nose. It was very musty. Slowly, I turned to my side to discover there was a boy sitting in the seat next to me. I was stunned. He was amazing beautiful. His skin was pale, but in a beautiful way. His hair was in a cute but sexy foe hawk. The shirt he was wearing showed of his chiseled muscles. Dog tags hung around his neck, and his glasses were still on his face.

All of a sudden, I heard the teacher call out to him, "Joseph, take off those sunglasses! You know they are not allowed on during school!" First, he hesitated and then sighed, pulling of the glasses and revealing his beautiful topaz eyes. Then it hit me!
