I bought my first guitar when I was 15, before that I couldn't play anything, could play some chords, nothing more. And have learned to play guitar by myself, though I wished I had gone to a guitar teacher. Honest!

Not just that, Galder and Silenoz are playing barre/inverted power chords, ie: the root, fifth and an octave below the fifth... Those chords combined with the 5-string bass deepen the sound... Isn't it amazing what you learn in 8 months? XD

The guitars are in E-standard tuning. the bass is a 5 string (BEADG). the bass plays the root notes of the power chords, makign it sound liek it is tuned so low.
