  • I was in the second platoon on this funeral. I'm sure the guard meant no disrespect. It appears he was talking to his coworker. Unfortunately he's probably a little desensitized to the funerals as as many as 10 a day can take place at the Old Post Chapel (where this one was) prior to internment within Arlington National Cemetery.

  • @bobsit1945 Do you really think that he would work at Arlington if he despises any part of the military??? Arlington is one of the highest honored cemeteries, they would not employ a person like that.

  • @bobsit1945 i hate to say but he does turn his back on the colors. did you notice that he turns back around after they are done passing.

  • I can't believe it, but if you look at the Security Guards at the Gate, you will notice that one appears to intentionally turn his back when the Colors came by, I hope I'm wrong

  • During my 20 year Coast Guard Career, I was honored to be able to serve in a military funeral unit as a bugler. There were very few moments that made me feel so honored and so sad at the same time. God bless the family and shipmates of this fallen comrade as the Lord takes him across the bar for the final time.
