Becoming Reality: Chp 9: Pre-Concert Part 2

Joe's P.O.V.

We called Devon and she agreed to get us food, which was exciting. We then went to the interviews we had scheduled. They asked mostly the same questions, at times I wish they could be a little more creative. They did ask we had any surprises in store for our concert. We told them we had a few ideas, but didnt want to spoil the surprise. We then rushed to the venue. Devon called soon after we arrived and we realized we forgot to tell security that Devon, Sam, and Sara were coming. Once we finished eating we had to do our sound-check. It was so funny to see how excited Devon, Sam, and Sara were and it wasn't even the actual concert.
After we invited the girls to play wiffleball backstage and they gladly accepted. Devon was surprisingly good, and Sam and Sara weren't bad either. Devon came close to beating us, but in the end it was no competition.
"Wow, I didn't expect you to be this good," I said to Devon.
"Well, I have had some practice when I was younger, and my dad did say I could have been a good softball player," Devon commented.
Then they decided they were then going to get food, but we decided to let them eat some of the food we had backstage. We introduced them to Demi and they seemed to click right away. We all ate our food together in the moments that we weren't cracking up. Who knew talking about random things could lead to such hilarity. We then had to leave the girls so we could get ready for the show. We could only imagine the excitement that was running through Devon, Sara, and Sam's heads as they sat front row waiting for the concert to start.
