1) Case workers make patients worse and obstruct medical care: WTF?

One deadly tactic is to force a patient back to work or to inappropriate rehab just to see what will happen. I call it deadly because one of my patients with MRI evidence of a hot disc lesion was forced into inappropriate rehab and died 2 weeks later of his heart condition. I call this tactic “the Shakedown”.

@screwedbywcb I was sent back to work nine months after my injuries. I was in no way healed and in fact they put my life at risk. If I walk or stand too long I will get blood clots in the calf of my leg.The specialist wrote WSIB telling them I was not to stand or walk fo any length of time. Instead they put me back to work eleven hours a day for ten days straight. I was brain injured, crippled, in pain, and could not do most of my work.
