Southern Ohio poet Michael Henson reads his "Memorial for the Homeless Dead" on 9 May 2009 at The Lit as part of Tres Versing the Panda, a three day poetry soiree sponsored by Green Panda Press and The Temple, Inc. Michael Henson is author of Crow Call, an extended elegy for his friend, the murdered homeless activist, Buddy Gray. He has also published a novel, a book of stories, and a chapbook of poems. His column, Hammered: Essays on Poverty and Addiction, appears monthly in StreetVibes, the newspaper of the Greater Cincinnati Coalition for the Homeless. He lives in Cincinnati.
