My grandfather was a corpsman in Korea. He was wounded while dragging a Marine out of the line of fire.

Courage is the quality of mind that makes us forget how afraid we are. Miss you my fellow Corpsman! God's speed.

I had the honor to help put HM3 Mendezaceves to rest at a Funeral mass. I was an RP3 at the time, and was informed of his death and that I would serve the Mass and burial. One of the most touching deepest points in my life. I will never ever forget. The funeral mass was deep. When I incensed the casket, I had to hold the tears back although one came forth. The hardest part was the mother crying, I just looked at her, in deepest sorrow. Rest in Peace HM3.
