Hello, I'm Rebecca Field with a UPI entertainment update on this Thursday, May 3, 2007.

Former radio host Don Imus is preparing to sue CBS. CNN reports he's hired one of the top trial attorneys to take CBS Radio to court for a breach of contract. Imus was fired last month by CBS after making a racist and sexist slur about the Rutgers women's basketball team on-air. His attorney tells CNN he's agreed to represent Imus who says there's 40 million dollars left on his 5 year contract.

Former "Scary Spice" Melanie Brown is taking her ex, actor Eddie Murphy, to court. People magazine says the singer wants Murphy to take a paternity test to determine if he's the father of her new baby. Brown claims the actor is the father and wants him to take responsibility. Angel, who was born last month joins Brown's other daughter...8 year old Phoenix.

A new royal portrait by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz has been unveiled. The photograph, realeased to the public yesterday, shows Queen Elizabeth II in a very formal pose. In the picture, the Queen is in the White Drawing Room at Buckingham Palace looking out at the palace grounds. She's wearing a gold evening gown and a diamond tiara. Lebovitz took the photo in honor of her 6 day trip to the U.S. which starts today in Virginia.

"Grey's Anatomy" actor Isaiah Washington is now speaking up for the gay and lesbian community. CNN reports he'll appear in a public service announcement for the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network. Washington faced a lot of criticism last year for making an anti-gay slur about his co-star T.R. Knight. Following the incident, the actor made a public apology. There's no indication yet of what will be said in the PSA or when it will air.

Singer and anti-war activist Joan Baez is being banned from performing at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. She was asked by singer John Mellencamp to join him in a concert for the troops there on Friday. In a letter to the Washington Post, Baez says she was dis-invited by officials at the hospital. The folk singer was not given a reason why.

That's all for now. For more on those stories and all the days news go to upi.com. Thanks for watching.
