Roomie Kook Reads for Addie

Addie requested that the Roomies do a reading of a recent book they've read, and I decided against The Going to Bed Book, despite its literary merits. Thrity Umrigar has provided us with the very excellent The Space Between Us, instead. I ran out of time to read my second choice of passage, but it starts on page 147, for the curious.

Great job with the reading, Kook! The Space Between Us was a very good book. Have you read any of Umrigar's others? I haven't yet, but I definitely want to.

I also read The Bermudez Triangle recently and loved it. Of course, Boynton is a favorite as well - I'm partial to Pajama Time. :)

Thanks, Jen; I really enjoyed the reading. I haven't read any of her other works, but I intend to. I find it difficult to read books apart from the ones I'm reading for my bookclub; sometimes time is short! I have a stack of books by the bed just waiting for me to have more time, but I'll be adding more Umrigar to the pile. :-)

Sandra Boynton rocks my socks, for sure. "And when the moon is on the rise, they all go up... to exercise!" My kids just love her books. They currently favour "Red Hat, Green Hat, Blue Hat, OOOPS!!!!"

Not at all! I was just trying to be aware of your probable preferences for company. :-) I think you all did very well with that. And the HP Fandom constitutes a welcoming bunch, I'd say.

I perceived no intrusion vibes! I hope we weren't sending off "no new people allowed" vibes... it's so hard getting together and seeing each other IRL while still being socially available to new people.
