  • Despite their efforts to re-write Mid-Michigan music history, these cheesy, talentless little fakes got no place despite heavy self-promotion. Rather than being THE Mid-Michigan music scene, "Plain Brown Wrappers" were the joke of it -- shallow, modish Monkee-clones from the 'burbs. Their jumping on the garage-band bandwagon does not excuse their lame, non-musical pablum. Musical talent of the time and place showed up mostly in bar bands, with true local greats like Bill Boehmer and Jack Sova.

  • Dr. Van Decker was my music teacher/band instructor in high school in Encinitas, CA. He taught me a lot.

  • Just as hilarious as when Van Decker first recorded it... "Girl where's your ears?" Plague Bill
