@jane1975 You could probably pick it up relatively cheap now as the new D5100 is out, however in my opinion the small bonuses you get are not worth the big price tag it holds. The only problem is that you'd need to find a D5000 new which would be rather difficult. However I'm sure you could pick one up second hand relatively cheap!

@ArmeniaKharabakh i would say d5000 becaust its cheaper than 550D and same quality as well same quality for video filming etc.. i have d5000 and 550D and im so dumb why the hell i buy this 2 camera and they are same lol now im planing to move canon 7d ..

Is this camera still available to purchase in the UK? I see it on Amazon but its an astronomical £560+ pounds with the 18-55 VR kit which is a bit steep for me.

Mine one day just suddenly shut off and I haven't been able to get it to turn back on even after charging it. Can anyone help me out? :/ I don't know what happened.
