Just a follow up - La Caja China worked GREAT as a warming oven! Just 2lbs of coals kept six steam pans full of eggs at serving temp for over an hour!
New use for the Semi Pro, tomorrow I'll be loading it with pans of (cooked) eggs for a breakfast for 100. Dump just a couple of pounds of coal on top and, shazaam...outdoor warming oven! (I was realy banging my head on the wall about how I was going to keep all this food warm! Thanks again, LCC!!!
Thats a great idea Perk. I never thought of that. I alway take the grill to the beach and this is a great idea. thanks for the idea defanetly going to do this from now on. I just need to get the top grill
Yeah, I use the lid, ash grate and racks for burgers, dogs, and chicken...just toss them up on a couple of metal sawhorses and leave the box at home. Breaks down pretty small!
