  • If it works on an external monitor the screen itself is f***ed

  • Even if it works on an external monitor?

  • This happened to my Tecra M4 4 times and each time was a motherboard replacement as the video card is soldered to the motherboard and overheating fried or unseated teh video graphics GPU

  • video card is screwed up

  • i have the same problem, look at my vids

  • i have a similar model and i have the exact same problem. let me know if you find a fix

  • my new toshiba satellite U305 screen also has this problem and only 40% of the screen is visible, i had never open a computer before and don't know where graphic card located at

  • more than likely a graphics card faliure. graphics card could be loose or damaged. also possble but not very likely screen ribbon connector has become dislodged. remove screen and see if ribbon is secure
