    It takes a real "know how" to make right parts and even to work right with the rest of it...

    Take example like the Burt Munro. He made his own pistons, cylinder heads, camshaft... All home made...

  • @chickumorris stick two layers of sponge instead. at this point you could change the main carburettor jet put one in that is a little bigger and you'll notice a slight increase but the most effective mod would be to open (cut) the exhaust and take the catalyzer cells out than weld it again the engine will thank you and give you eventually 1 or 2 hp

  • @chickumorris hi i would say that you will not gain much from changing only the air filter but you might eventually loose power, if the filter is round you could look for a motocross sponge airfilter, they come with a spring hose collar to be fitted on the carburettor flange ( tube from air/filter box to carb. ) this one has to be adapted to your airbox sponge filter, if it's a squared filter you can buy a performance sponge panel to be cutten as liked the rip the paper off your filter and
