Quick Video of some HD Movies, some youtube, some downloaded played through various players, all 8 playing at once with System Loading Graphs and Information at top center display as well as Core Temp Readouts.
Only 3 of 4 Displays videos at this time. All displays in portrait. System has two modes, first primarily used for research and everything but gaming, second for Gaming - Sapphire Card is placed in Crossfire (electrically combines secondary video circuits to first, hence the "x2" naming of this card) and 4th monitor is used (not pictured - and to the side). Can change modes on the fly. Crossfire gets 34 fraps full settings, without crossfire, 13-16 fraps. Could be higher if overclocked. Card is only $210.
CPU just about tapped out. Q8200 Quad is lowest performing Quad. Q9500 upgrade soon - 80% performance of Core i7 920 without the cost. Planning 3.4~3.6GHz Overclock on Q9500 stock 2.83 GHz.
Vid taken with Cannon P.O.S. SD880IS, resolution is poor when zoomed in, Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD 9.0 used to render for youtube. Apologies for the zoom quality - looks astonishing in person.
Turned the monitors to 3 widescreens for the new setup, GTX 570 main screen and GTX 460 for sides, both overclocked.

What is the point of running all dif windows, I would like to run a game on full 3 screen, that would be sick.
nicknicolosi1 3 months ago
@nicknicolosi1 well when you run them 3 wide, you see more to the sides and the experience is incredible! Played on another system like this, it's completely nutz!

Do I lose FPS when I use more than one monitor on this kind of setup? I will be using Sapphire 4850x2 2GB version on only 1 PCB

@Nightmare1066 depends on what you're doing with it, but yes in general, it's just to what extent like rendering and AF/AA values

I do like the monitors but I would rather get one big screen with 2 portrait monitors either side. But it is still a very nice setup :)

@dagenhamdave1 For a while I had it like this, even with a 4th monitor for statistics, but I kept the two portraits side by side for web page surfing and comparing/researching. Portraits are the way to go, but for gaming, most games won't let you do it (or at least the ones I tried). Also a boot monitor displays only in widescreen, if you have portrait screens, all the boot info is on it's side!
